Case study: Achieving Photorealistic Rendering with HDRI

Custom multi layer car paint shader
High resolution HDRI for mapping on geometry to get geometrically correct reflections on the car. Our challenge was to get the look right directly in the renderer without a lot of post processing. For this the hdri had to be physically correct.
Redshift is a gpu renderer that enabled us to get rendering times of 3 minutes for a 4k rendering.
